How does the Hong Kong Tourist Bus work?

We would like to inform you about the different routes offered by the Hong Kong Tourist Bus. Certainly, there are three different routes:

  • The Red Line: travels the island of Hong Kong. The timetable is from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. There are buses every 30 minutes.
  • The Green Line: crosses Aberdeen and Stanley. The timetable is from 09:45 to 16:45. Also, there are buses every 30 minutes.
  • The Blue Line: shows the Kowloon Peninsula. The timetable is from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. There are buses every 40 minutes.

We recommend you make the routes followed, although you can also hop on hop off the bus whenever you want.

Types of Big Bus Hong Kong tickets

First of all, you can buy a Classic ticket:  the duration is 24 hours and you can make the three routes. Secondly, you can buy a Premium ticket: includes 48 hours and additional activities. Finally, you can buy the 48-Hour Ticket with a Night Tour or directly the Night tour only.

We recommend you to buy the tickets in Central Star Ferry Pier 7. Anyway, if you buy the tickets online you will enjoy a 10% discount.

In conclusion, we sincerely recommend you to visit the country using the Hong Kong Tourist Bus. Also, we want to advise you that you will need a Hong Kong PAR to access.
